Our Supporters and Partners
Following the recent reorganisation of local government in Cumbria, we are delighted to continue our relationship with Kendal’s local authority, now the Westmorland and Furness Council. The Trustees of Lakeland Sinfonia hope to work with local council officers and elected representatives, schools and colleges to develop a programme of community support for classical music and to attract new audiences to get orchestral concerts here in Kendal and across the area.
We are also very aware of the ongoing support from our visiting orchestras. Royal Northern Sinfonia have, for some time, supported our programming from their own resources and this is much appreciated. Without their work on our behalf, we would not be welcoming the Hallé nor Royal Liverpool Philharmonic to Kendal and we’d be unlikely to have such amazing soloists, including local saxophonist, Jess Gillam performing this season.
We recognise that all arts organisations, including orchestras and performers, are under pressure from rising costs and we are grateful to our orchestra Partners for their flexibility. Thank you to every one of our concert-goers, especially our Members, Friends and Patrons. Your financial donations make all the difference to our sustainability.
If you – or an organisation or company that you know – would be interested in talking to us about future Patronage or partnership projects, please contact us.
