The programme opens with Ruth Gipps’ gorgeous instrumental Song for Orchestra, followed by the raw energy of Max Bruch’s powerful Violin Concerto, showcasing the talents of RLP Young Artist in Residence, Johan Dalene. Finally, the wonderful Borodin symphony is exactly as stirring, as tuneful and as lush as you’d expect.
